During December 2017, HCRRUN will provide medical and psychological care to vulnerable victims, in accordance with the reparations programme established by the CVJR, as well as proceed with their compensation.

To validate the practical arrangements for implementing this stage of the reparations process, the Institution held an information meeting on Friday, November 17, 2017, with the main stakeholders involved. These included representatives of the Presidency of the Republic, the Prime Minister’s Office, the various ministerial departments concerned, members of the Special Compensation Fund Management Committee (CGFSI), the NGO AIMES-Afrique, and HCRRUN resource persons.

During this meeting, the role of each stakeholder was defined and an intervention plan was approved.

A total of 137 vulnerable victims, identified throughout the country, are concerned by this first stage of compensation. These are victims who continue to suffer from severe physical or psychological after-effects and require appropriate care.

HCRRUN will publish the list of vulnerable victims concerned by this phase at the end of November 2017. Telephone contact with these victims has already begun in order to determine their current places of residence and organise their transportation to Lomé.
