The delegation from the Constitutional Court of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), on a working visit to exchange experiences with the HCRRUN, paid a courtesy call to several Togolese authorities on Tuesday, November 7, and Thursday, November 9, 2017, in Lomé.

Accompanied by Mrs. Awa NANA-Daboya, President of the HCRRUN, the DRC delegation, led by Mr. Jean–Pierre MAVUNGU, judge at the Constitutional Court of his country, was received on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, by the Togolese Prime Minister Komi Sélom KLASSOU.

According to Mr. MAVUNGU, these discussions with the Prime Minister allowed the DRC delegation to learn more about the organization and successes of the national workshop for reflection and exchange on reforms organized by the HCRRUN in July 2016 in Lomé.

We are here to exchange experiences between our two institutions. We visited the Prime Minister to review the pressing issues of the day. We wanted to learn from the Head of Government about the reforms undertaken in Togo, and we were very enlightened,” he stated.

The DRC delegation and members of the HCRRUN were then received on Thursday, first by the President of the Constitutional Court, and then by the Keeper of the Seals, Minister of Justice and Relations with the Institutions of the Republic.

This mission to exchange experiences between the institutions of the two Republics concluded with a press release in which the DRC delegation expressed its gratitude to the HCRRUN and the Togolese government for their hospitality.
