Academic Manaf Alfa Boukari was laid to rest this Sunday, May 28, 2017, at the Muslim cemetery of Adétikopé after rites and prayers at the home of his late father Alfa Boukari Traoré in Tokoin Habitat, Lomé.
The day before, Saturday, May 27, the academic community, HCRRUN, and several civil society and religious organizations paid tribute to him with numerous testimonies about his life at Amphitheater 500 on the North Campus of Lomé.
Manaf Alfa Boukari, 36, a doctoral student in modern literature at the University of Lomé and a resource person for HCRRUN, was killed in a traffic accident last Wednesday, May 24, returning from a training seminar with GF2D.
