In accordance with recommendation 47 of the CVJR, and following the Council of Ministers’ decision of June 22, 2017, defining the period from July 3 to 9 as that reserved for purification, the various religious denominations are beginning the final rites of the purification ceremonies this Thursday, July 6.

The locations and times for these various ceremonies have been defined at the level of each prefecture, and arrangements have been made by the HCRRUN and the government through prefects and traditional leaders to ensure the smooth running of these ceremonies.

For the Golfe and Agoè-Nyivé prefectures, the ceremonies will take place according to the following schedule:

Thursday, July 6, 2017, at 8:00 AM, traditional ceremony in front of the Leader Price supermarket for the Agoè-Nyivé prefecture, and at 9:00 AM on the banks of the Bè lagoon in front of the Community Center for the Golfe prefecture;

Friday, July 7, 2017, Muslim prayer at 1:00 PM at the Grand Mosque of Lomé next to the main post office;

Sunday at 8:30 AM, Protestant service and Catholic mass at ESTAO in Atikoumé.
