Implementation of the Reparations Program: Meeting between HCRRUN, AIMES-Afrique, and the Special Fund Management Committee
The High Commission for Reconciliation and the Strengthening of National Unity (HCRRUN) met on Friday, October 27, 2017, at its headquarters with officials from the NGO AIMES Afrique in the presence of members of the Technical Committee for the Management of the Special Fund for Victim Compensation.
This meeting enabled the three parties to consult in order to prepare the practical organization of the compensation phase for victims of political violence from the 2005 period and to define the framework for their collaboration.
In this first phase of the upcoming reparations program, the first tranche will be dedicated to vulnerable victims who, in addition to compensation, require medical and psychological care.
A non-governmental organization working primarily in the health sector, AIMES-Afrique was selected by HCRRUN to provide psychological and medical services.
