HCRRUN Compensated Displaced Persons from Atchinèdji During the Construction of the Nangbéto Dam

From July 26 to 31, 2021, a compensation session organized by HCRRUN was held in Anié, approximately 180 km from Lomé, for the populations of the Atchinédji canton and its surroundings who were displaced during the construction of the Nangbéto dam.

Nearly one thousand persons whose testimonies were submitted to the CVJR were compensated by HCRRUN as part of the implementation of the reparations program.

The objective of this action is first to provide the support of the Togolese State to the displaced populations for the inconveniences caused to them by this hydroelectric dam project on the Mono River. Each victim or their beneficiaries received a check whose amount was determined by the CVJR.
