A delegation from the new bureau of the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI), led by its President, Mr. Ayassor Tchambakou, paid a courtesy visit to the Mediator of the Republic, Mrs. Awa Nana-Daboya, who also serves as President of HCRRUN, accompanied by the First Rapporteur, Mr. Wiyao Evalo, and assisted by Mrs. Mbrou Antoinette, on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, in Lomé.
“We paid a courtesy visit to the Mediator of the Republic and the members of HCRRUN to inform them about the progress of the national electoral process currently underway, particularly the local elections scheduled for June 30,” declared the President of CENI.
Mr. Ayassor provided an update on the activities already undertaken by his Institution in preparation for the upcoming elections, as well as on those planned for the future.
The President of HCRRUN and Mediator of the Republic expressed her delight at the visit. She first congratulated the members of the new bureau on their appointment to oversee the elections and encouraged them to successfully carry out the mission entrusted to them.
