The forecourt of the Anié Prefecture offices proved too small to accommodate the population of Anié and Est-Mono mobilised to attend the compensation operations this Thursday, 19 April 2018. Even though not all had given testimony to the CVJR or had their names on this first list published by the HCRRUN, these onlookers wanted at all costs to convince themselves that this operation is a reality.

The HCRRUN team, based in Anié for two days, compensated, for this Thursday 19 April, nearly sixty non-vulnerable victims from 2005. The rest are expected this Friday 20 April in the large hall of the Prefecture.

In opening the operations, Mrs Awa Nana-Daboya, President of the HCRRUN, reassured victims who did not find their names on the posted list to wait for the next rounds of compensation. ” Those who do not find their names, if they made statements to the CVJR, should be sure that this is only a first round; we will come back, and we will come back again each time the government makes efforts “, she stated.
