Libation, immolation of rams, chickens, water and beverages, holy water. These offerings essentially marked the beginning of purification ceremonies across Togolese territory today. Priests of traditional religions led the ceremonies. From Lomé to Cinkassé, the ceremonies took place under rain, a sign of blessing and acceptance of the offerings by the gods.

The government, represented by the Director of Religious Affairs, and HCRRUN, represented by its President, along with several political and administrative authorities, attended these ceremonies in Agè-Nyivé and Bè.

In each prefecture, HCRRUN representatives and local administrative authorities also attended these ceremonies.
