The first Council of Ministers meeting of 2017 resulted in two decrees, one of which appoints the members of the reflection commission on political and institutional reforms. Eight (8) members were appointed on January 3, 2017, namely: Séléagodji Arthème AHOOMEY-ZUNU, Adji Otèth AYASSOR, Dodji KOKOROKO, Adama KPODAR, Essohanam BATCHANA, Koffi Kumelio AFANDE, Dago YABRE and David Ekoudé IHOU.

They join Mrs Awa NANA-DABOYA, appointed President of this commission in January 2015, who had been waiting for its members to begin her mission.

According to the Government communiqué of January 9, 2015, « The Commission’s main mission will be to propose, as soon as possible, a political, institutional and constitutional reform text that takes into account our history, reflects our realities and meets the deepest aspirations of the Togolese people. »

This commission will work on the conclusions of the national workshop for reflection and exchanges on political and institutional reforms organized by the HCRRUN from July 11 to 15, 2016 in Lomé, in order to turn them into draft bills to be submitted to the National Assembly.
