The Secretary of State to the Minister of Justice and Relations with Republican Institutions, in charge of Human Rights, Madam Nakpa POLO, was received this Tuesday, September 6, by the President of the High Commission for Reconciliation and the Strengthening of National Unity, Madam Awa NANA-Daboya, at the Institution’s headquarters in Lomé. This visit is part of a courtesy and working visit following her appointment on August 1st, after a technical reshuffle of the Togolese Government.

The President of HCRRUN first congratulated her guest on her appointment. The discussions then focused on several topics related to human rights and the mission of HCRRUN in general, and the reparation program provided for in the CVJR recommendations in particular. Madam Awa NANA-Daboya explained to her guest the mechanism put in place by her Institution to make these reparations effective.
After these exchanges, Madam POLO congratulated HCRRUN for the work accomplished in such a short time and expressed her wish for collaboration with her department to fully achieve its mandate.

It should be noted that the Secretary of State to the Minister of Justice and Relations with Republican Institutions, in charge of Human Rights, was accompanied by the Director of Legislation and Human Rights Protection, Mr. MINEKPOR Kokou.
