HCRRUN teams are in the Savanes Region from December 6 to 18, 2021, to compensate victims of politically motivated violence identified by the CVJR. This time, the list has been expanded to include victims registered by the National Special Independent Commission of Inquiry (CNSEI), established in 2005 by the Head of State and chaired at the time by former Prime Minister Me Joseph Kokou Koffigoh.

This compensation session is being conducted simultaneously in two phases. The first phase runs from December 6 to 11, 2021, in Dapaong, for victims from the prefectures of Cinkassé, Kpendjal, Kpendjal-Ouest, and Tône, and in Tandjouaré, for victims from that prefecture. The second phase runs from December 13 to 18, 2021, in Mango and Barkoissi, for victims from the prefectures of Oti and Oti-Sud.

This compensation phase is a continuation of the previous stages and concerns victims who submitted statements either to the CVJR or the CNSEI and who had not yet received compensation since the beginning of the process. It does not involve an additional instalment for individuals who have already received compensation, nor does it include new individuals registered by the HCRRUN.

Alongside this compensation session, the HCRRUN will carry out a community reparation activity during the week of December 13 to 18 in Barkoissi, in the prefecture of Oti.

The list of victims for each prefecture is available by clicking on the name of the relevant prefecture.
