HCRRUN prepares journalists from the interior of the country for the second phase of its mission
Approximately fifty journalists and radio hosts from the interior regions of the country are attending a training workshop this Friday, November 23 and Saturday, November 24, 2018 in Kara. Organized by HCRRUN with UNDP, this meeting follows the series of training sessions launched on Tuesday, November 13 in Lomé and aims to equip media professionals for better support of the reparations program and especially the compensation component.
During these two days, participants will attend presentations on transitional justice, the genesis and mandate of HCRRUN, the practical organization of psycho-medical care and compensation, and the role of journalists in supporting HCRRUN.
After the first phase of compensation which took place from December 2017 to September 2018, HCRRUN is continuing the second phase starting November 27 with the care of vulnerable victims.
