As part of its mission to strengthen national unity, HCRRUN, in collaboration with UNDP-Togo, proceeded on Monday, November 25, 2019, with the establishment of the Local Peace Committee (LPC) for the Kpendjal-Ouest Prefecture.
The proceedings were held at the premises of the Prefectural Directorate of Social Action in Naki-Est and brought together approximately sixty participants representing various social groups within the prefecture, including public administration officials, traditional chiefs, religious leaders, civil society organizations, and youth and women’s groups.

Following two presentations on the themes “Peace Committees in the Service of Conflict Prevention and Management” and “The Organization and Functioning of the Peace Committee,” participants designated seven (7) members to form their Local Peace Committee.
It should be recalled that in 2016, when Local Peace Committees were being established in other prefectures, the prefectures of Kpendjal-Ouest and Oti-Sud had only recently been created and therefore could not be included in the process at that time.
The committee is composed of:
Djantchième Nabordja, President;
Sinandale Lardja, Vice-President;
Douti Damigou, Treasurer;
Tambate Gountante, Secretary;
Nakpagou Namdiégou, Deputy Secretary;
Awoute Kossi, First Advisor;
Zakali Salifou, Second Advisor.
