Following Kpendjal-Ouest last Monday and Tuesday, it was the turn of the Oti-Sud prefecture this Friday, November 29, 2019, to establish its Local Peace Committee (LPC). After receiving training provided by HCRRUN members and experts in peace and conflict management, the population represented by delegates from different social groups designated 7 individuals who formed this committee.
Mrs. Soulé Fatouma was subsequently elected as President of this committee.
The other members of the committee are:
Sibiti Aoufo, Vice-President;
Male N’wéyabou, Secretary;
Pastor Gassoussi Kokou, Deputy Secretary;
Douti Adzra, Treasurer;
Chief Famba Mongbé Nanoumbé; 1st Counselor;
M’batiba Tairou, 2nd Counselor.
The role of this committee within the community is to help preserve peace by reconciling the different parties in conflict.
