HCRRUN officially presented its new headquarters to the press on Friday, 16 February 2018.Located in Cité OUA, at Villa No. 36 opposite the Constitutional Court, the new premises house the Office of the Ombudsman of the Republic and the High Commission for Reconciliation and the Strengthening of National Unity. Part of the premises will also be used for the psycho-medical care of vulnerable victims.
“The premises where we are currently operating were made available to our Institutions by the Togolese State. These premises add to the long list of measures taken by the highest authority of the State, His Excellency the President of the Republic, to enable HCRRUN to carry out its work in complete peace of mind in the process of reconciliation and the strengthening of national unity,” declared Mrs. Awa Nana-Daboya.
The President of HCRRUN paid tribute to the Head of State, stating that, on his instructions, the Government had included in the 2018 budget an allocation of CFAF 5 billion intended for the Reparations Programme.
