The esplanade of the Anié prefecture offices proved too small to accommodate the population of Anié and Est-Mono mobilized to attend the compensation operations on Thursday, April 19, 2018. Even though not all were registered on the CVJR list or did not have their names on this first list published by HCRRUN, these onlookers wanted at all costs to confirm that this operation was a reality.
The HCRRUN team deployed in Anié for two days compensated nearly sixty non-vulnerable victims from 2005 on Thursday, April 19. The remainder are expected on Friday, April 20, in the main hall of the prefecture.
In opening the operations, Mrs. Awa Nana-Daboya, President of HCRRUN, reassured victims who did not find their names on the posted list to be patient for the next rounds of compensation. ” Those who do not find their names, if they made declarations to the CVJR, can be assured that this is only a first round; we will return and we will return again each time the government makes efforts,” she stated.
