Start this Tuesday of the second phase of psycho-medical care and compensation for victims
A launch ceremony followed by psycho-medical care and compensation for vulnerable victims: this is how the High Commission for Reconciliation and Strengthening of National Unity (HCRRUN) began the second phase of the compensation component of its mission this Tuesday, November 27, 2018. Of the 444 vulnerable victims identified for the remaining periods, 55 from the municipality of Lomé and its surrounding areas are expected for this first week from November 27 to 30, 2018.

In her opening remarks for this phase, the President of HCRRUN specified that ” according to the CVJR database, vulnerable victims number around 444, including 123 victims for the 1958–1989 period, 268 for the 1990–2004 period, and the remainder concerns victims from 2005, who were not found during the first phase“.
” As during the previous phase, these vulnerable victims will benefit not only from medical and psychological care, the costs of which will be fully covered by HCRRUN, but also from compensation in accordance with the amount set by the CVJR“, recalled the President of HCRRUN, before urging all victims in general and vulnerable victims in particular to show wisdom and patience, because the State, through HCRRUN, will leave no one on the sidelines of the ongoing process.
