From October 18 to 24, 2021, a compensation session for victims of political violence was held in Kpalimé, organized by HCRRUN. This session, primarily dedicated to victims registered by the 2005 National Special Commission of Independent Inquiry (CNSEI) from the prefectures of the Plateaux Ouest region, provided compensation to nearly 300 victims. For the victims scheduled for this compensation session who were unable to attend, other sessions will be organized for them. The compensation session was conducted in strict compliance with COVID-19 barrier measures. Other regions of the country will receive HCRRUN teams for these compensation sessions in the coming days.
Through these compensations, HCRRUN is implementing the reparations program developed by the CVJR to alleviate the suffering of victims of political violence and human rights violations.
