Organized with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), these workshops aim to equip media actors in preparation for the next phase of compensation and victim assistance. <\/p>\n<p>For this first two-day session, print media journalists were trained on various topics including: Transitional Justice, the genesis and mandate of HCRRUN, the stages of victim assistance, and the role of journalists in supporting the process.<\/p>\n<p>The same topics will be developed on Thursday, November 15 and Friday, November 16 for online media journalists, on Tuesday, November 20 and Wednesday, November 21 for radio and television journalists from the capital and the maritime region. To a large extent, your writings will determine the reception that victims will give to the mission entrusted to HCRRUN by the Head of State<\/em>,&#8221; he stated.<\/p>\n<p>In officially opening the proceedings of this training series, Mrs. Awa Nana-Daboya, President of HCRRUN, recalled that it was following the evaluation of the experimental phase of compensation that shortcomings were identified in the work of media professionals.
