This meeting is part of the process of ownership and public adherence to the implementation of the CVJR recommendations, aimed at engaging with different target groups to ensure their involvement and contribution to the implementation of HCRRUN&#8217;s mission.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Media professionals in turn attended three presentations on the following themes: &#8220;<em>HCRRUN&#8217;s Mission and Current Status<\/em>&#8220;, &#8220;<em>Explanation of the Terms: Reparation, Reconciliation, and National Unity, as well as the Complexity of Their Implementation<\/em>&#8220;, &#8220;<em>Involvement and Contribution of Journalists to the Process of Reparation, Reconciliation, and National Unity<\/em>&#8221; on the agenda of this meeting, with particular emphasis on their role.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From the debates and committee work that followed these presentations, journalists raised their concerns regarding support for HCRRUN&#8217;s mission. These included, among others, questions relating to the follow-up to the conclusions of the national workshop on reflection and exchange on political and institutional reforms in July 2016, the issue of reparations, and the fate of alleged perpetrators. They recalled the doubt that has settled among the population regarding the fulfillment of HCRRUN&#8217;s mission, the need to restore public confidence, and the measures to be considered if the reparations program is not included in the national budget.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">They also addressed the assessment of nearly three years of HCRRUN&#8217;s mandate and future prospects, as well as the benefits for journalists in supporting HCRRUN in its mission.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In turn, Mrs. Awa NANA DABOYA thanked them for their candid and sometimes pessimistic remarks concerning HCRRUN&#8217;s mission. She took the opportunity to provide clarification regarding the difficulties encountered by the Institution thus far, relating to headquarters, operating budget, pressure to advance the situation, lack of financial resources, the complexity of reparations&#8230; She emphasized the principle of a public apology from the Head of State and advocated for the establishment of the reparations commission.
