This was an introductory visit by the said Minister to the Institutions of the Republic to officially learn about the work of these two Institutions chaired by Mrs Awa Nana Daboya. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Thus, within the framework of her role as Ombudsman of the Republic, Mrs Awa Nana, surrounded by her two collaborators who are seconded civil servants, namely Mr Lokoun Akp\u00e9louzim, Studies Officer, and Senyo Ahli, Financial Officer, gave a brief presentation of the work carried out by the Institution.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>She emphasised the current situation, namely the complaint files referred to the Institution and their processing. She outlined the various areas covered by these files, the achievements, namely the files that have effectively been concluded, and the challenges relating to the obstacles to concluding the other files. <\/p>\n<p>Thus, out of 160 files registered, only 28 have been concluded. The Ombudsman of the Republic cited the ministries resistant to her action and outlined the prospects for action for the proper functioning of the Institution. These prospects concern, among other things, human and financial resources and the need to revise the Institution\u2019s legislative text.  <\/p>\n<p>The Minister expressed his appreciation and his surprise at the achievements recorded. He encouraged the team of the Ombudsman\u2019s Office and assured them of his willingness to support the Institution in the prospects set out. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>With regard to the second Institution, namely the HCRRUN, the President and the Members briefed their guest on the Institution\u2019s activities, in particular the victim compensation component launched since December 2017, which is continuing in line with the pace of budget allocations for the Compensation Fund. Here too, the Members of the HCRRUN reported on the Institution\u2019s achievements, described as efficient and effective, and on short-, medium- and long-term prospects, namely, in addition to individual reparations, the community and memorial reparations planned for the next stages.
