It took 11 months of intense activities from 1st October 2018 to 11 August 2019, i.e. eight (08) compensation sessions in Lomé and ten in the interior of the country to achieve this result.

However, these positive results cannot hide the difficulties encountered during this second phase. These difficulties are mainly linked to acts of incivility committed by certain individuals to fraudulently receive compensation in place of the real victims. In his address, the President of the panel of bailiffs accompanying the HCRRUN, Maître SAMA-BOTCHO André, recounted certain cases of fraud that were detected, including a case of homonymy that enabled a young man, through subterfuge, to cash the compensation intended for a member of his family. Following the presentation of the real victim, the impostor was apprehended and the funds were returned to the rightful beneficiary.

The end of the second phase not being the end of the process, Mrs Awa Nana Daboya wished to ” reassure victims who have not yet been taken care of that no one will be forgotten.
