A HCRRUN delegation, comprising President Ms. Awa Nana-Daboya, Assistants Ms. Mbrou Antoinette and Mr. Azoumaro Blaise, Communications Officer Mr. Adry Bonchemin, and Resource Person Ms. Saya Akoua, met on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, with the Director of the National Orthopedic Appliance Center (CNAO), Mr. Lakna Tokpessa Innocent, assisted by his Deputy, at the center’s premises in Lom\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Discussions focused on collaboration between the two parties to provide better support for victims referred by HCRRUN to the center as part of the Reparations Program.<\/p>\n

As the support involves alleviating the trauma of certain victims through the provision of orthopedic appliances (prostheses), HCRRUN deemed it necessary to strengthen relations with the Center to improve the efficiency of services at reasonable costs.<\/p>\n

In his welcome address, Mr. Lakna expressed his pleasure at HCRRUN’s visit to his Center and presented to the delegation the various departments and units represented in the regions. He then explained that the high cost of the appliances is due to them being ordered from abroad and delivered in parts to be assembled at the Center here in Lom\u00e9. He nevertheless assured HCRRUN of their readiness to offer the best possible services within their means. <\/p>\n

Following these discussions, the HCRRUN delegation visited the various departments of CNAO, which include the Appliance Service, Physiotherapy Rehabilitation, Speech Therapy Rehabilitation, Psychology Service, and Ergonomics Service. The President of HCRRUN encouraged the center’s management for their efforts in providing real-time motor and mechanical assistance services to the victims referred to them. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
