As part of its mission to strengthen National Unity, HCRRUN, in collaboration with UNDP-Togo, proceeded on Monday, November 25, 2019, with the installation of the Local Peace Committee for the Kpendjal-Ouest prefecture.<\/p>\n

The proceedings were held at the premises of the Prefectural Directorate of Social Action in Naki-Est. Around sixty participants represented various social groups in the prefecture, including public administration, traditional chiefs, religious leaders, civil society organizations, and youth and women’s groups. <\/p>\n

After attending two presentations on “Peace Committees in the Service of Conflict Prevention and Management” and “The Organization and Functioning of the Peace Committee,” participants designated seven (7) members to form their local committee.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, in 2016, when peace committees were being established in other prefectures, the prefectures of Kpendjal-Ouest and Oti-Sud were newly created and could not be included at the time.<\/p>\n

The committee consists of:<\/p>\n

 Djantchi\u00e8me Nabordja, President;<\/p>\n

Sinandale Lardja, Vice-President;<\/p>\n

Douti Damigou, Treasurer;<\/p>\n

Tambate Gountante, Secretary;<\/p>\n

Nakpagou Namdi\u00e9gou, Deputy Secretary;<\/p>\n

Awoute Kossi, 1st<\/sup> Advisor;<\/p>\n
