On Wednesday, August 26, 2020, the High Commission for Reconciliation and Strengthening of National Unity (HCRRUN) received three (3) lots of rehabilitation and construction works for school buildings in Dj\u00e9r\u00e9houy\u00e9 and Bocco, in the prefecture of Ogou. These works were carried out as part of the implementation of community and collective reparations provided for under Recommendation No. 54 of the Truth, Justice and Reconciliation Commission (CVJR).<\/p>\r\n
Comprising three (3) separate lots, the works involved the construction, extension, and rehabilitation of five (5) school buildings in Dj\u00e9r\u00e9houy\u00e9 and Bocco, as well as the completion and rehabilitation of three (3) residential buildings in Dj\u00e9r\u00e9houy\u00e9.<\/p>\r\n

Completion and rehabilitation works on a permanent building at the residence of Mr. Apedo Kokou, representative of the Woudou community;<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

Construction of a semi-permanent two (2)-room building at the residence of the representative of the Kaby\u00e8-Losso Bawilibaya community;<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n
\r\n
Construction of a three (3)-room building at the residence of Mr. Apedo Kokou, representative of the Woudou community.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n

With a total cost of thirty million (30,000,000) CFA francs, the works were carried out by Entreprise de Construction Appliqu\u00e9e (ECA), with workers and laborers recruited from the local communities.<\/p>\r\n
The foundation stone for these community infrastructure projects was laid on March 13, 2020, in Dj\u00e9r\u00e9houy\u00e9, following the official launch of the community and collective reparations component on November 16, 2019, in the same locality.<\/p>\r\n
The inter-community conflicts that occurred in Dj\u00e9r\u00e9houy\u00e9 in 2015 do not directly fall within the mandate of HCRRUN. However, the Head of State specifically entrusted the Institution with addressing this situation. HCRRUN therefore designated it as a pilot project within the framework of the implementation of community and collective reparations.<\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
