In keeping with this tradition, the President of HCRRUN and Ombudsman of the Republic, <strong>Mrs Awa NANA-DABOYA<\/strong>, planted a eucalyptus tree as a symbol of the institution&#8217;s commitment to environmental sustainability. She was joined by her colleagues, who also participated in this civic initiative in support of the Government&#8217;s objective of planting one billion trees by 2030.<\/p>\r\n<p>On the occasion, <strong>Mrs Awa NANA-DABOYA<\/strong> commended the Government for making hundreds of seedlings available to public institutions for the national reforestation campaign.<\/p>\r\n<p><em>&#8220;For HCRRUN, whose mission is to promote reconciliation and social cohesion, the tree we have planted today symbolizes reconciliation. Over the past five years, we have worked steadily to foster healing and reconciliation, and we have witnessed the gradual restoration of trust among our fellow citizens. This has enabled us to earn the confidence of the population, particularly victims of violence.
