Its mandate was to investigate the circumstances surrounding these acts of violence and destruction, assess the damages suffered by the State and other victims, and initiate legal proceedings against the alleged perpetrators and instigators.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The Commission registered nearly <strong>700 victims<\/strong>, whose names were submitted to the <strong>Truth, Justice and Reconciliation Commission (CVJR)<\/strong> and subsequently transmitted to HCRRUN for compensation. The institution, led by <strong>Mrs Awa NANA-DABOYA<\/strong>, therefore dedicated the period from <strong>21 to 26 June 2021<\/strong> to compensating these beneficiaries.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">It should be noted that some victims who had resubmitted their testimonies to the CVJR had already received compensation as part of the group of victims registered by the CVJR and therefore cannot be compensated a second time.<\/p>\r\n<p>A further compensation session will be organized in the coming weeks for beneficiaries who were unable to attend this first session.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The list of these victims can be consulted here: ?? <a href=\"https:\/\/hcrrun-tg.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/hcrrun_indemnisation_Liste_victimes_CNSEI_Comission-Koffigoh_juin_2021.pdf\">https:\/\/hcrrun-tg.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/hcrrun_indemnisation_Liste_victimes_CNSEI_Comission-Koffigoh_juin_2021.pdf<\/a><\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Commonly known as the Koffigoh Commission, in reference to its chairperson, former Prime Minister of Togo, CNSEI was established following the political violence of 2005.
