{"id":10208,"date":"2017-01-12T17:24:37","date_gmt":"2017-01-12T17:24:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hcrrun-tg.org\/reconciliation-process-in-togo-the-united-states-of-america-supports-the-hcrrun\/"},"modified":"2026-07-23T18:43:25","modified_gmt":"2026-07-23T18:43:25","slug":"reconciliation-process-in-togo-the-united-states-of-america-supports-the-hcrrun","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hcrrun-tg.org\/en\/reconciliation-process-in-togo-the-united-states-of-america-supports-the-hcrrun\/","title":{"rendered":"RECONCILIATION PROCESS IN TOGO: THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA SUPPORTS THE HCRRUN"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Members of the <strong>High Commission for Reconciliation and the Strengthening of National Unity (HCRRUN)<\/strong> received, on <strong>Thursday, 12 January 2017<\/strong>, a visit from the <strong>United States Ambassador to Togo, His Excellency Mr. David Gilmour<\/strong>, accompanied by <strong>Mr. Mike Pryor, Public Affairs Officer at the Embassy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the visit was to discuss a project for a photo and film exhibition on the official visit of the late President <strong>Sylvanus Olympio<\/strong> to the <strong>United States of America<\/strong> in <strong>March 1962<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>According to the American diplomat, this exhibition constitutes a contribution by the <strong>Embassy of the United States of America<\/strong> to the reconciliation process in Togo, a mission entrusted to <strong>HCRRUN<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This initiative by the <strong>Embassy of the United States of America in Togo<\/strong> is part of the implementation of HCRRUN\u2019s strategic plan, which provides for material reparations and an action aimed at rehabilitating the memory of the late President <strong>Sylvanus Olympio<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Members of the <strong>High Commission for Reconciliation and the Strengthening of National Unity (HCRRUN)<\/strong> thanked the American diplomat for this initiative, which is set out in <strong>Recommendation 46 of the CVJR<\/strong> and is therefore included under <strong>Axis 2 of HCRRUN\u2019s strategic plan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Members of the High Commission for Reconciliation and the Strengthening of National Unity (HCRRUN) received, on Thursday, 12 January 2017, a visit from the United States Ambassador to Togo, His Excellency Mr. David Gilmour, accompanied by Mr. Mike Pryor, Public Affairs Officer at the Embassy.
