Following the information tours and purification ceremonies, HCRRUN is launching the actual compensation phase from December 12 to 29, 2017.<\/p>\n
According to Mrs Awa Nana-Daboya, President of HCRRUN, \u201cthis first phase is dedicated to vulnerable victims. There are 137 of them across the entire country. These are victims who still suffer from serious physical or psychological after-effects and require appropriate care.\u201d<\/p>\n
Arrangements have been made with administrative, traditional, religious, and local authorities to facilitate the transportation of these victims to Lom\u00e9 for medical and psychological care, as well as for the payment of their compensation.<\/p>\n
According to officials from the NGO AIMES-Afrique, which is responsible for providing this medical and psychological care, \u201capproximately twenty doctors from various medical specialties (Psychology, Surgery, Ophthalmology, Stomatology, General Medicine, ENT, Neurology, Urology, and Gynaecology) have been mobilised to help vulnerable victims suffering from physical after-effects recover their health or obtain relief from the conditions they endure.\u201d<\/p>\n
Arrangements have also been made with the Ministry of Health to facilitate access to the Sylvanus Olympio and Campus University Hospitals, the Lom\u00e9-Commune Regional Hospital, and B\u00e8 Hospital for victims requiring further examinations and\/or specialised treatment. If necessary, private clinics identified by AIMES-Afrique will also be involved.<\/p>\n
In addition to medical and psychological care, each victim will receive compensation determined by the CVJR based on the studies and expert assessments conducted at the time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
