Through a press briefing held this Friday, March 2, 2018, at its headquarters, HCRRUN announced the completion of the support phase for vulnerable victims of 2005, which began on December 12, 2017. Addressing the press, the President of HCRRUN indicated that of the 137 vulnerable victims announced for this phase, 96 were effectively supported, to which 11 victims classified as special cases were added. In total, HCRRUN provided psycho-medical support to 107 victims out of a total of 148. <\/p>\n
” Regarding the 137 vulnerable victims initially identified, the assessment reveals that 41 individuals could not be supported<\/em>,” stated Mrs. Awa Nana-Daboya. Indeed, according to information gathered by HCRRUN, 18 victims are reported to have died, 15 were not located despite searches by traditional and administrative authorities as well as by the HCRRUN unit responsible for locating victims. On the other hand, seven (7) victims who were contacted did not, for various reasons, travel to Lom\u00e9, and one who did not possess any of the documents requested by HCRRUN but who did travel, could not be supported. <\/p>\n ” We wish to emphasize that the doors of HCRRUN remain open and that the rights of victims not yet located or deceased remain inviolable.
